Blue Mustard in Vienna
While Strolling through the streets of Vienna on a chilly Saturday night, looking for a cozy and trendy place to have a small bite and a drink, I accidentally came across this gem of a place! Although not too exciting or inviting from the outside, especially as it is indented deeper into the building, rather than the being right on the side-walk, I was more than pleasantly surprised by what I found inside.
It turned out to be a beautifully designed Michelin Star eatery and bar, with the nicest heartwarming success story! I
I was over the moon to have found this place - by chance - that has superb food, great music, the right ambience, the right crowd (a mix of young and older), just the right lighting, delicious cocktails, and super friendly staff! I got the chance to chat with the owner, Vahe Hovaguimian, a Syrian national, who fond the time to tell me his amazing story and journey to his Michelin Star, childhood dream restaurant.
So, when in Vienna, do pay them a visit, but make sure to book ahead for dinner, especially on the weekend.
