Dubai Design Week 2017
As much as there was effort put into the set up of the main attraction pavilion, Downtown Design, I thought the creative and artistic part was definitely all within the three blocks of the D3 buildings. The workshops, talks, exhibitions, and installations were interesting, innovative and eye catching.
The young creatives showcased there; and the variety of art, graphic, jewelry, furniture, and garment design, as well as architecture was well thought out and showcased. The streets and buildings had a young, vibrant and artistic air to them. I felt energetic and inspired.
I enjoyed visiting the Poster Project Initiated and curated by Engy Aly, with Möbius Design Studio as co-curators, and Tashkeel and Weltformat as collaborators. The posters had a beautiful, nostalgic yet trendy, and upbeat feel to them.
